The Medallion Program

The Junior Medallion Program supports young women in their desire to become useful volunteers while making the experience enjoyable from May of their eighth grade through November of their senior year.  St. Lucy's Auxiliary does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color or creed.

Registration for the 2010 Junior Medallion Program is for girls in their eighth grade year and starts May 1, 2010.  The "Request for Invitation for the Junior Medallion" form will be available on April 28, 2010.  This form is available in advance to allow time for mailing.  It is to be printed, completed and mailed to the address on the form.  SEND NO MONEY AT THIS TIME!  This is only a request and does not guarantee acceptance. 

If your daughter has been accepted, she will receive an invitation with a reply card, approximately 6-8 weeks after we have received the requests.

If you receive the reply card, complete and return it with the name of the St. Lucy's member as a sponsor, and the registration fee to be fully registered in the Junior Medallion Program.  If you do not have a sponsor, St. Lucy's will assist you.  You do not have to have a sponsor at this point to assure acceptance.  

Your daughter will then be a Junior Medallion Candidate and assuming all requirements are fulfilled by her senior year, she will be presented at the Medallion Ball.  Only 130 young women will be accepted into the Junior Medallion Program per each Medallion Ball year.  There is no wait list.

With the guidance and encouragement of their sponsor, each year the Junior Medallion Member is required to submit her hours to the Credentials Committee to ensure that she is fulfilling a minimum of 25 hours of volunteer service per year in order to attain the 150 required hours of service.  You will be contacted by the Credentials Committee when it is time to submit these hours.
