The Medallion Program

The Junior Medallion Program supports young women in their desire to become useful volunteers while making the experience enjoyable.

Request for registration for the the program will be available to young women as of May 1st of their eighth grade year. St. Lucy's Auxiliary does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color or creed. When a request to join the program is made to the Jr. Medallion committee, an invitation (that includes a reply card) will be sent.

Complete and return the reply card with the name of the St. Lucy's member as a sponsor, and the registration fee to be fully registered in the Junior Medallion Program. This assures acceptance for presentation at the Medallion Ball, assuming that the necessary requirements have been fulfilled. Only 130 young women will be accepted into the Junior Medallion Program per each Medallion Ball year.

With the guidance and encouragement of their sponsor, each year the Junior Medallion Member is required to submit her hours to the credential committee to ensure that she is fulfilling a minimum of 25 hours of volunteer service per year in order to attain the 150 required hours of service.
