Clarity + Courage

St. Lucy, a young Christian martyr of the 4th century, is known as the patron saint of the blind and those with eye ailments. Her very name means “light,” reminding us that true vision comes from faith and inner clarity.
According to legend, St. Lucy wore a wreath of candles to keep her hands free while bringing food and aid to persecuted Christians, symbolizing how her faith and service brought light into darkness.
At St. Lucy’s Auxiliary to the Blind, we draw inspiration from her unwavering devotion and her light-bearing spirit.
Like Lucy, we seek to illuminate paths for others—offering guidance, compassion, and the steady glow of faith that helps all see the world more clearly.

St. Joan of Arc, a 15th-century French heroine and saint, answered God’s call with extraordinary bravery. Guided by her faith, she led armies, inspired nations, and faced trial and martyrdom with unshakable conviction.
Her courage calls us to act boldly in faith.
At St. Lucy’s Auxiliary to the Blind, we carry that same spirit—serving with confidence, dedication, and compassion. Like Joan, we strive to move forward, trusting God’s voice even when the path ahead is uncertain.
