The Medallion Ball

St. Lucy’s Auxiliary to the Blind fosters a lifelong spirit of service among young women.

Our mission is to inspire young women to look beyond themselves, to recognize the needs of others, and to serve with compassion and purpose.

The journey begins as each young woman seeks out opportunities to serve and make a difference, and culminates in the honor of receiving the St. Joan of Arc Medallion.

Through this experience, young women develop a deeper understanding of service as a way of life – one that continues to shape their choices, relationships, and communities for years to come.

The young ladies’ journey culminates in the Medallion Ball, a cherished celebration of service and faith.

Surrounded by family, friends, and the Auxiliary’s community, each young woman is presented with the St. Joan of Arc Medallion, by the Catholic Bishop of Pittsburgh, recognizing her dedication to service.

The evening is both a joyful conclusion and a reminder that the call to serve continues long after the music fades — a lifelong commitment to being a light in the world through serving others.
